By downloading, installing, or using the GrindLock mobile application, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the app.
GrindLock is a productivity and fitness application that blocks selected apps and websites via Apple's Screen Time API (FamilyControls/ManagedSettings) until the user completes a daily bodyweight workout. The app provides guided exercise routines and enforces app blocking through iOS system-level controls.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use GrindLock. By using the app, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.
GrindLock blocks selected apps using Apple's Screen Time API. App blocking does not guarantee 100% blocking in all scenarios — blocking behavior is governed by iOS and may vary with operating system updates. GrindLock is not responsible for missed notifications, blocked emergency access, or any consequences resulting from app blocking. You can always disable Screen Time permissions in iOS Settings.
Workout content provided by GrindLock is for general fitness guidance only and does not constitute medical advice. Consult a physician before starting any exercise program. All exercises are performed at your own risk. GrindLock is not liable for any injuries, health issues, or adverse effects resulting from use of the workout features.
Premium features are available via auto-renewing subscriptions through the Apple App Store. Current pricing:
Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Pricing may change with notice.
If you cancel your subscription, you retain access to premium features until the end of your current billing period. After that, the app reverts to the free tier — you can still complete workouts and track streaks, but premium features such as advanced Discipline Protocols and app blocking will no longer be available. Refunds are handled by Apple according to their refund policy.
You acknowledge that you voluntarily grant Screen Time permissions to GrindLock. You are responsible for:
GrindLock collects limited analytics data through PostHog to improve the app experience. All personal and fitness data is stored locally on your device. We do not sell your data to third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details on data collection, usage, and deletion.
All app content, design, branding, and code are owned by GrindLock and protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the app.
GrindLock is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the app, including but not limited to injuries, lost data, or blocked access to apps.
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to GrindLock for abuse, violation of these terms, or any other reason at our discretion.
We reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
